history San Felipe is a town on the Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez) in the Mexican state of Baja California, this is where Margarita Martinez was born, her partner, Javier Vega grew up on the opposite side of the spanish map in Carrillo Puerto. The two met while studying in college and within the first year of classes together the two were glued at the hip. The both of them were love birds pretty much from the moment they spotted one another. The two survived college and their first year out in the real world before Javier took a kneel and offered Margarita a ring. Three years later the wedded couple was blessed with a set of twins, Cecilia and Lorenzo.

Back in their college days they had discussed their wishes and both of them wanted a large family so the family grew. When Cecilia and Lorenzo turned seven their baby boy (name here) was born and only two years later came Valentina. Finances began getting tight after their baby boy was born and they continued to pinch pennies when their little princess came along. The couple began to panic, and what once was a happy family, turned to a stressful environment that lead Margarita to live up to her name. She began to drink. And by drinking, I don't mean she had a sip here or there at dinner. The woman was almost never seen without a margarita glass in her hand.

Cecilia and Lorenzo were the stereotypical type twins. They litterally could finish eachother's sentences and were always toegther. They were both ridiculously smart, and through school made perfect scores, setting a high standard for the following Vega children.Valentina and ____ were always struggling in school and continously got the "why can't you be more like the twins" from their school teachers and sometimes their drunken mother. Javier, on the other hand was always a very supportive father, and he realized that not everyone was good at the same things.

When Cecilia hit highschool, the pressures to fit in and yet still please her parents got unbareable. Valentina being an entire 9 years younger didn't quite understand. Cecilia started acting funny and going off, sneaking around at night. She made lorenzo promise not to tell their parents and he kept his mouth shut. Valentina however, didn't know what was going on and let word slip, that Cecilia had been gone at night. Cecilia, confronted by their mother got defensive and angry, slammed her bedroom door and snuck out once more, jumping in the passenger seat of her older boyfriends car.


The very same night, was the night that changed their lives. Cecilia was in a car accident and the entire family went into a dark depression. Lorenzo moved out, unable to stay in the house without his twin there. ____ and Valentina tried their hardest to keep together and be there for one another, considering they were the only kids left in the house, and their mother all but drank herself to death, leaving Javier in a bind. Thinking of only the stability of his family, Javier packed up his wife and two remaining kids and moved to a new region of mexico, back to his home town in Carrillo Puerto.

Things started looking up. Valentina started highschool and found her niche in dance. She began taking classes to gain skill and before she knew it, she was competeing for money and prizes left and right. The girl could dance and with her brother ______ by her side, she was usually pretty happy. She got chosen to be one of the top three dancers in her training school and they sent her on to one of the largest competitions that side of mexico had seen. Javier and her brother ____ made it to the event, but Margarita couldn't be bothered.

When the three of them arrived home that night, Valentina grinning from ear to ear, holding a bouque of roses Margarita met them at the door.She was so drunk she couldn't stand up without the help of the door frame. Javier had finally had enough. He demanded that she pack up right that instant and go to a hotel because he was tired of exposing his kids to such a wreck. Through a week of fighting, the two both signed divorce papers and within the month, Margarita moved out, leaving Valentina,_____, and their father Javier in the house the vega family built together.

Valentina graduated highschool and went on to dance professionally. With her skills she caught the eyes of some important judges who sent her and her family on an all expenses paid trip to Anacortes,Washington where she was to have her own Dance Studio where she took up teaching younger people to dance. With her own source of income she said goodbye to her father and decided to stay in Washington for the time being, unsure of where her career would take her.
