SICK OF ALL THE INSINCERE
so I'm gonna give all my secrets away
so I'm gonna give all my secrets away
hometown I was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to America when I was 8 years old.
history A long time ago the McNerney family arrived in America with their 10 children. Among their 10 children was a little boy named Aonghus. One day a few of the younger children were taken captive by the Seneca Indians, one of them was Aonghus. Time went on the Seneca Taught the children many things Aonghus was given the name Tooantuh and he soon fell for the daughter of the chief, Amadahy. They had three children, all girls the middle daughter Orenda (Brenda) married Bae Moon and together they had three children: Ryan, Maeve and Sinead. Ryan grew up and became a successful businessman in America he went on a business trip to Tokyo where he met an actress named Ayumi Tanaka. Ayumi’s family wasn’t as mixed as Ryan’s generations of Tanakas have been living in Tokyo. She had a twin sister and two younger brothers. Time went on and four years later Ryan and Ayumi were married. Two more years passed when their children Karin and Kiyoshi came along. The twins weren’t too much of a surprise for the couple since Ayumi had a twin sister and Ayumi’s father Hayato was also a twin….
HEY GUYS AND GALS my name is Kiyoshi Adam Parker but just call me Kiyoshi, or Yoshi or heck even "hey you get over here". OK maybe not so much that but any variation of Kiyoshi is fine by me. I was actually born in Tokyo, Japan five minutes after my twin sister Karin who I call Rin. Yes she's older than me and won't let me forget it.
I was born on January twenty sixth, nineteen years ago to Ryan and Ayumi, My nationality is mixed my birth-mom is Japanese and my birth-father is Korean (my birth-grandfather), as well as Irish and Native American (my birth-grandmother). It's a really odd combination but who says it couldn't happen. My dad was born in the United States then a business trip to Tokyo he met my mother he ended up wanting to live there to be with her then 6 years later my sister and I came along. Crazy crazy history there.
SO MY CHILDHOOD HUH? Well I lived in Tokyo up until I was 8 years old. But my childhood was full of fun memories my twin sister and I had been known as the "Terror Twins" of our elementary school. I will have to admit it was a BLAST! I had shown interests on Martial arts as well so my dad put me into Karate classes. it also helped me because I was never the tallest kid in the class, before I discovered a love for pranking I was teased and bullied because I was small for a boy. That all changed when I knew how to defend myself and have fun with the bullies by pranking. The March before Karin and I would be forth year elementary schoolers (here in America that would be fourth grade) my parents announced that we were moving To America because dad had gotten a better job. So we moved to this lovely country.
A year after our move something terrible happened, my parents were killed in a plane crash. Rin and I were put into the foster system, bouncing from home to home. We refused to be separated no matter how many times they tried to separate us. That was until the Parker family came along with their large brood of kids most of which were adopted as well. While most families only wanted young children the Parkers took children a bit older believing they deserved a good home and the best part was they didn't try to separate me and Rin. We were adopted officially when we were twelve years old. It was a huge family but me and Rin found our niche as a part of it, they were very welcoming. Sometimes Rin and I still speak Japanese to each other. Making friends wasn't so hard I got back into martial arts too it really is my favorite all time sport, well other than soccer.
I was also diagnosed with ADHD, which means I'm hyper, with a short attention span, I tend to get bored easily, I'm also kind of impulsive at times. Especially when it comes to helping people. Two of my brothers keep telling me that I have "Superhero Mentality" or something I like to help others but tend to keep my problems to myself.
Time went on and when I was 13 I noticed something interesting about myself I wasn't just attracted to girls I was also attracted to guys. So I dated both genders and usually not longer than a couple weeks. Dating was quick that was until I was 14 and met Maxie Whitehorn she was a girl and the oldest of four she had a younger sister and two much younger twin brothers, but there was something about her that seemed right, perfect, so much different than the others I dated. We did end up having sex it was a spur of the moment thing we were making out in her bedroom her parents were out for the night and her siblings were at their grandparents, so we had the house to ourselves, actually her parents didn't even know she invited me over. So anyways we were making out and it kind of went from there. We didn't use any protection. When she heard her parents pull up in the driveway later that night I quickly got dressed and snuck out her bedroom window (it was on the first floor) after kissing her good night of course.
A month or so passed when Maxie showed up at my door, Hysterical. Like the good guy I was I let her in my house so we could talk I sat her down in the living room and comforted her. When she calmed down she blurted out the words I was worried about: "KIYOSHI I'M PREGNANT!". I blinked and my sister heard to, I know that because I remember hearing her schoolbooks drop to the floor. Karin later came in and yelled at me "KIYOSHI ADAM PARKER YOU DID WHAT?". This was probably the most awkward thing to tell our parents as well.
My daughter Jade Savannah was born a month early on June 13th of the next year. Maxie's petite body had problems handling the baby so there were some complications but I tried my best to help her out when I could. Jade was a preemie and her lungs weren't fully developed so she was in an incubator with all these cords on her. I remember touching her tiny hand and the moment hit. "I'm 15, and I have a kid!". When Jade and Maxie were released from the hospital Jade had stayed with Maxie and I came over from time to time to help them out. She was my daughter and also my responsibility as well as Maxie's. Jade has dark hair and Maxie's bright blue eyes, the rest of Jade's looks were all from me but more feminine. My mom jokes that Jade was almost a female clone of me.
On July 13th a month after Jade was born I was away to visit my grandparents for my grandfather's birthday party. When I got home I saw her sister Lizzie (who was 13 at the time) crying as she blurted out the news that Maxie had been hit by a drunk driver. This was a huge shock to me and kind of ironic because Jade's original due date was July 14th. So if Jade wasn't born early they both would have been killed. Actually this caused me to ask Lizzie where Jade was and I was glad to find out that Jade was safe at Maxie's house. Later that night the Whitehorn's gave Jade to me since I was her father. They would still come over to visit from time to time.
Jade has lived with me full-time since then, my large family has helped me out with her a lot since I was completely clueless on what to do half the time in the beginning. I loved my daughter more than anything, but there were times I wished Maxie was still there. It took me a while to get over Maxie's death actually it took me a lot longer than I let people think, but I kept it hidden from others after the first few weeks, although my twin knew better. I'm alright now but I still have problems dating others. HAH I guess I'm worried how they will react when they find out I have a kid or something.
I'm now nineteen years old. I go to college, work as an actor at the Anacortes Playhouse, teach kids martial arts on the side and take care of my daughter. Jade is a definite Daddy's girl and a bit of a tomboy but for girly things my sisters would gladly help her out. Like Maxie, Jade is smarter than alot of kids her age and she has been that way since she was a baby. Although born a preemie Jade's skills developed a bit quicker than others her own age. Jade is also playful, curious, and a sweetheart, but she can also be a bit stubborn.
I live with my daughter and a roommate in an apartment. Although, I still do wonder what things would be like if Karin and I never lost our parents at a young age, but I'm glad to have such a large supportive family now. There's always something going on.
anything else you want us to know
I still have a bit of a Japanese accent can't you tell, OK maybe not so much now but when I get angry, nervous, or overexcited it definitely comes out.
I actually have a tattoo on my upper right arm of a Dragon with his wings over the words "Jade Savannah 6-13-07" Yep my kid of course. But it has a deeper meaning the fact that I will be the dragon to protect my little girl no matter what it takes. Sounds Silly to some people but it has a great meaning to me. i have a picture around here somewhere hmmm:
Here it is
I have a pet tree frog named Kaeru, who stays in my room, as well as a female black cat named Kiley.
